At the foundation’s annual banquet this summer, the following high school coaches were given coach of the year awards:
- Girls Basketball – Dee Hardy from E.E. Smith HS
- Boys Basketball – Bill Boyette from Terry Sanford HS
- Football – Richard Bailey from Jack Britt HS
